Halloween is right around the corner, and we don't yet know if this is a really cool treat or a cheap trick.

Channel PEAR the private Roku channel that was once super popular in many Roku circles and was removed is now back on Roku as a new private channel.

For those new to Roku, channel PEAR was a channel before it would do anything, you first needed to create an account on their server, and then they would let you add a few sources for free.

Once you hit your limit, you could then either delete some and add new ones or pay them a small fee for the ability to add more and also to watch your channels on multiple devices.

We won't go into all the specifics, but will share a few links for complete instructions.

One thing we did want to remind you was if you may have had Channel PEAR installed in the past on an older Roku and you updated in the meantime. Be sure to log back into your Channel PEAR account from a web browser and deactivate your old Roku device.

Otherwise, you could be locked out from using the channel on your current Roku and it won't work.
