Fire TV users will be able to download and add the HBO Max channel to their devices beginning Tuesday November, 17. Amazon and HBO settled their dispute and the app will now be widely available for Fire TV users.

Warner Media today released the news that HBO Max, their popular paid streaming service which was first available this past May, will be available shortly to be watched from their HBO Max app on Amazon Fire TV and on Fire tablets.

While many Fire TV owners had already figured out workarounds to watch HBO Max anyways. Soon they can use the official HBO Max app for their Fire TV streaming and Fire tablet devices.

To add the app to your Fire TV or tablet you will need to subscribe to HBO through Amazon Prime Video Channels, which will then give you access to HBO Max.

Roku owners will need to wait a little while longer because HBO Max is not yet available as a channel on their platform. But workarounds also exist to watch it using AirPlay 2 which recently became available for 4K Roku owners. Here is more info on how to do this also.

New subscribers to HBO Max are eligible for a Free 7/day trial.
