In Apple's defense, their streaming service is still rather new and mostly suffers from a lack of content when compared to the others. If they ever get their content dialed in, it may some day be a worthy adversary.
But for now, enjoy it free for year when you buy a new Apple device. Just don't expect too much out of it except for a few shows and movies that are quite good.
