Another Year another Netflix Price Increase - Wait it's starting to feel like cable all over again

Netflix just announced another price increase for its popular streaming TV service in the U.S.A. and Canada

Inflation once again rears its ugly head as one of the most popular and now most expensive streaming services in the U.S.A. is once again adjusting their prices upwards.

Here are the Details on the Netflix Price Increase

Basic Plan - Was: $8.99 Now: $9.99 ($12 more a year)
HD Plan - Was: $13.99 Now: $15.99 ($24 more a year)
4K Plan - Was: $17.99 Now: $19.99 ($24 more a year)

With gasoline prices for regular gas, quickly approaching $5/gallon on the West Coast. $2 more a month is not a lot in today's economy. But it's another price increase, and when you add it to everything else, that is costing us more these days. It feels like death by 1000 cuts.

But surely Netflix employees are going through the same struggles most Americans are going through. And we don't begrudge them a pay raise. (Hopefully, the price increase will give them one.) And Netflix has had some pretty high quality content on lately.

So while the price increase may upset some cord cutters who really, deep down inside still wish everything on TV was free. For the most part, price increases are a necessary evil. And one thing is for certain, in ten years, it will cost us all a lot more to watch TV...
