Over the past few years, the rise of streaming services has radically changed the television industry.
Following the lead trendsetters like Netflix and Hulu, major studios invested billions of dollars into building a digital audience to help supplement declining viewership on traditional cable. That trend was put into hyperdrive with the arrival of the coronavirus pandemic, which turned in-home entertainment into the only option for millions.
