Hollywood’s oldest studios need a new strategy
After a rocky first year at the helm of Warner Bros. Discovery, David Zaslav set a goal that he thought would solve his problems on Wall Street. He would make his streaming business profitable.
Zaslav achieved his goal — sort of — by delivering a direct-to-consumer profit of about $100 million last year. But investors have been unimpressed. Shares in the company are down almost 24% this year.
