Here is what the new costs will mean to Netflix subscribers:
- A Netflix Standard Plan which currently is $13/month will see a $1 increase to $14/month
- The Netflix Premium Plan currently $16/month will be increased $2 to $18/month
Compared to the $4 and $5 increase which is often the case with cable or satellite TV providers, this latest increase is not too bad.
This comes at a time when Netflix is struggling with maintaining projected global subscriber growth. But it will help offset the cost rising programming costs from content providers.
