YouTube TV began notifying select subscribers they are eligible for a free TiVo Stream 4K, which is based on Android TV.
This is another escalation intended to make the dispute with Roku more painful and intended to make Roku bend to their demands. YouTube also got around Roku blocking their Live TV channel by adding Live TV channels to their main YouTube channel, which lets Roku users to continue using their Live channels on the platform.
New subscribers currently can no longer sign-up for YouTube TV from Roku and must go to the YouTube website instead.
What Roku does in response to this latest attempt by YouTube to make it more painful for the company during this dispute remains to be seen.... See more at TheStreamable.com
